what is nabakalebara?

"Nabakalebara"is purely odia word which means renovation.The Nabakalebara of Lord Jagannath occurs when two full moon appear in ashadha month of a year.Normally after 8,12 or 19 years of a Nabakalebara.The story behind it is that Lord Jagannath lost his one body and take a new birth.After the death of Lord Krishna,Pandava(Arjuna) do his last rites but the Pandavas found that Lord Krishna's heart wasn't destroyes so they drowned the heart in ocean and this heart is now placed in Puri Jagannath's wodden body.So in this nabakalebara bhagban's heart i.e Brahma replace from one sculpture to another and Lord Jagannath with his brother and sister was taken rebirth.
